AIT is pleased to announce the creation of a new urine panel for compliance testing that is designed to meet the needs of physicians managing dependency and detoxification.
Inspired by AIT’s premier compliance testing panel for prescription and illicit drugs known as DetectiMed®, the new addiction panel comprises nine of the 15 drug classes currently featured in that panel, including:
Of special interest to physicians is the inclusion of buprenorphine (Suboxone®) and methadone, which are frequently prescribed to recovering patients due to their ability to reduce the symptoms of opiate dependence and suppress symptoms of opioid withdrawal. While used to treat opioid dependence and as an analgesic alternative to other traditional opioids, these drugs still have abuse potential, and a patient can overdose if their usage is not monitored closely.
Ethyl Glucuronide is also included to help practitioners monitor alcohol use.
AIT’s addiction panel is for the urine matrix only, and test results can be reported in as little as 48 hours. For more information, visit our test catalog, select the “Search by Keyword” tab, and type in “addiction panel.”
