DRUGOGRAPHY
Home > Compliance Monitoring > Addiction Testing
For individuals struggling with drug addiction, receiving professional help is often an important part of rehabilitation. Physicians who treat addiction work with patients to eliminate their dependence on narcotics and/or prescription drugs over time and to improve their quality of life. However, the road to recovery is long and difficult, and it is important to verify that your patients are only taking the prescribed medications designed to aid in this process.
AIT can help.
When it comes to prescription drug monitoring and narcotics testing, AIT was one of the first toxicology laboratories in the country to develop a testing program customized for healthcare providers monitoring patient compliance.

Available Testing
AIT’s compliance testing catalog includes numerous substances, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, illicit drugs, and other substances (as well as their metabolites). Of special interest to addictionologists is the availability of buprenorphine (Suboxone®) and methadone testing, which are frequently prescribed to recovering patients due to their ability to reduce the symptoms of opiate dependence and suppress symptoms of opioid withdrawal. While used to treat opioid dependence and as an analgesic alternative to other traditional opioids, these drugs still have abuse potential, and a patient can overdose if their usage is not monitored closely.
AIT has panels that can meet a variety of testing needs. In addition, you can begin testing from the moment of induction, allowing you to track the patient’s progress immediately upon beginning treatment at your facility.
