AIT made Inc. magazine's 500/5000 list for the fifth consecutive year. The magazine, which each year ranks the fastest-growing, private companies in the nation, ranked AIT 958 on the 2011 list. In addition, AIT ranked 67th nationally in the health category, making it the second highest ranking Indiana company to make the list. AIT also ranked 17th on the overall list of 60 Indiana companies.

AIT ranked 119 on Training magazine's top 125 list, joining high-profile companies like Microsoft, UPS, Best Buy, and McDonald’s for recognized excellence in employer-sponsored training and development programs. Training magazine ranks the companies based on several benchmarks, including total training budget, number of training hours per employee, the scope of development programs, and how closely the development efforts are linked to the business goals and objectives.

AIT was named the 2011 semi-finalist for "ESOP Company of the Year" by the Indiana Chapter of The ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) Association. Criteria for the award included involvement with The ESOP Association and its programs, communications with employees, and commitment to the vision of The ESOP Association that endorses employee participation, wealth creation, and individual dignity and worth.
