In 2009, AIT Laboratories was named the “Small Business of the Year” by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. AIT was chosen from more than 50 nominees statewide to receive this prestigious honor. AIT was chosen based on its overall business growth and for its cultural initiatives.
AIT has received many awards over the years, but one that we are particularly proud of honors the culture that AIT Founder, President, and CEO Michael A. Evans, Ph.D and employees strive to achieve every day. For the third consecutive year, AIT has been named one of the “Best Places to Work in Indiana” by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. AIT joined dozens of other large and small to medium-sized companies throughout Indiana on this prestigious list. AIT works hard to create an atmosphere that celebrates its employees and improves their quality of life. In 2009, AIT put more than 100 new cultural initiatives into place to benefit employees. This honor comes as no surprise to the people who work at AIT, where Evans often says, “There is no greater investment a company can make than in its employees.”
In 2004, AIT Laboratories was named “Outstanding Employer” by the Indiana Chapter of the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired. AIT has provided job opportunities and internships through a partnership with Bosma Enterprises, an organization that works to find employment for people who are blind and visually impaired.
In 2004, AIT Laboratories received the “Celebration of Diversity Award for Leadership” from the Mayor of Indianapolis. The award recognizes businesses and organizations that encourage, embrace, and celebrate differences that foster a better place in which to live, work, and raise a family.
